Gwenno Morgan

Gwenno Morgan is a pianist, composer and producer from Bangor, North Wales.

Her debut instrumental EP was released on the label on April 16 this year. CYFNOS, is a combination of cinematic tracks that evoke ‘hiraeth’ – a kind of nostalgia for particular places and people, with the piano being central to the music. The single ‘T’, featured on the EP, has been given much attention by Sian Eleri and Huw Stephens on Radio Cymru, and Adam Walton on Radio Wales.

Gwenno’s compositions are inspired by various styles and genres, from the neo-classical like Philip Glass and Ólafur Arnalds, to the jazz and electronic fusion like Brad Mehldau and Max Cooper.

Over the last few months, collaborations with Sywel Nyw on Label T, and Mared on I Ka Ching Records, brought her into the public eye. Now in her final year studying BMus Performance at the University of Leeds, Gwenno aspires to continue creating and collaborating.
