Siddi

Branwen Haf (Cowbois Rhos Botwnnog, Blodau Papur) and Osian Huw (Candelas, Blodau Papur), the siblings from Llanuwchllyn, are the busy musicians behind the folk duet Siddi. They released their first album in 2013 entitled ‘Un Tro’; a concept album based on a fairytale set in Cwm Cynllwyd. It was the fruit of two years’ labour, with each song a microscopic look at each small detail of the sad story.

In 2018, the short album ‘Dechrau ‘Nghân’ was released, which was an opportunity for both of them to experiment further with the contemporary folk genre.

‘Matholwch‘, a re-imagining of Matholwch’s relationship with his wife Branwen in the second branch of the Mabinogi, was released in 2021, with an accompanying video for the National Eisteddfod – watch here. In 2022, ‘Mabli‘ was featured on the multi-artist record to celebrate I KA CHING’s tenth year.
