Hud – Huw M

I Ka Ching is delighted to announce the second single of the year from folk-minimalist artist Huw M — ‘Hud’, out on 24th October 2025.

It’s wonderful to see Huw M return with ‘Hud’, his follow-up to ‘Cacwn Bwm’, which was warmly received and named Track of the Week on BBC Radio Cymru earlier this year — a welcome comeback after a decade of musical silence.

‘Hud’ is a bright, energetic track, rich with layered harmonies, jangly, catchy guitar riffs, and a generous dose of Hammond organ. Speaking about the song, Huw said: “The lyrics talk about the idea that everyone has some kind of magic inside them — we just have to find out what that magic is. I think Dolly Parton said, ‘find out who you are, then do it on purpose,’ and that’s the idea behind the song: that everyone has something special and unique to offer, and there’s a place in the world for everyone and their magic.”

The track also features Bethan Mai (Rogue Jones), Lucy Goldbridge, and Iolo Whelan. It was recorded at Tŷ Drwg Studio with producer Frank Naughton. More singles are on the way, with a brand-new album set for release in 2026.
