Leo – Dafydd Owain

Dafydd Owain announces his first single from his new album on August 15.

I Ka Ching Records are proud to announce a brand new single from the artist Dafydd Owain. ‘Leo’ is the first song to be released from his latest collection of songs that exists under the title ‘Ymarfer Byw’ (loosely translated as ‘to practice living’).

This is the first single that Dafydd has released since the release of his first collection of solo songs under the title ‘Uwch Dros y Pysgod’ which was nominated for the Welsh Music Award as well as the National Eisteddfod’s Welsh-language Album of the Year award.

Dafydd describes his first album as a tentative step toward an unopened door. With ‘Ymarfer Byw’, he intends not only to open that door — but to step through it. Dafydd is joined by a host of versatile musicians on his first single, including Aled Huws, Osian Huw Williams, Gethin Griffiths, Harri Owain, Dafydd Williams, Mari Morgan, Dáire Roberts, and Rhodri Brooks. At the helm of engineering, production and creative direction is Llŷr Parri (Gwenno, Melin Melyn).
