Huno EP – Ysgol Sul

At I KA CHING Records we’re a bit of a geek when it comes to witnessing new bands’ growing success, and Ysgol Sul is no exception. After winning Maes B’s 2014 Battle of the Bands, recording a session for C2 BBC Radio Cymru and releasing two digital singles, we’re proud to be releasing the band’s first EP – ‘Huno’ (Slumber).

After returning to work in the studio with Llŷr Pari (Palenco, Niwl, Cowbois Rhos Botwnnog), the band has developed a richer, slower-paced and even dreamier sound in this collection of songs. Ysgol Sul experiment with layers of sound on ‘Huno’, in contrast to their more minimal approach on their first single ‘Aberystwyth Yn Y Glaw’ (Aberystwyth In The Rain).
