Llif yr Awr – Mared + Gwenno Morgan
Llif yr Awr – a brand new single by duet Mared and Gwenno Morgan will be released on I Ka Ching Records on 2nd of April, 2021.
Llif Yr Awr is the first combination of both Mared and Gwenno Morgan’s influences. Having met on the music course at the University of Leeds in 2017, both have recently collaborated on this new track, weaving Gwenno’s production of magical piano and synth sounds, with Mared’s melodies and lyrics.
Both came together on Bangor train station platform to perform an acoustic version of the track on the recent episode of Lwp’s Curadur on S4C. The song, which encompasses the process of trying to be patient whilst being creative, is an example of a collision of Gwenno’s unique keys and Mared’s first solo album which hinted at a new jazz / folk direction to come.
The beautiful artwork was created by Penglog (Steffan Dafydd), the track was mixed and mastered by Drwm at Stiwdio Sain and additional bass and drums were performed by Osian Huw Williams.
Llif yr Awr will be Radio Cymru’s Track of the Week, starting on Monday 29th March.
